In our card game room, we will have tables open of any gaming that isnt electronic. feel free to set up a game of any kind, as long as it is appropiate for all ages. When setting up, let any staff member know if you need any help. Also I would like to know how to get a hold of the local RPGA.

Yes, sadley the forum is not as active as the myspace. I do have many plans for the coming years con, seeing as how this year is picking up steam, I plan to completly overhaul the site, forum, and the Con itself. Be ready to start seeing changes almost as soon as the con finishes this year. It has been a slow process to get this con on its feet, but I definetly see it growing fast. thanks for the input and I will work on it ASAP.

Omnicon Convention, due to poplular demand via our survey, has decided to move the location to the ECHO hotel in Edingburg, TX. This hotel was built with the intentions of hosting conventions and will have all the space we need to hold our event. Our dates have not changed and all other pricing and information is the same. I am waiting on info for our convention rates and will post info as it comes in. So make your plans to be at the ECHO hotel June 26-28 for OMNICON 2009!

This May we will be doing a smaller convention in Bill Schupp park in McAllen, TX on May 23rd This event will be a social event free to the public with music, food, and cosplay. Please dress up and if anyone would like to act out a skit, please let me know. We are registering skits and taking suggestions for games. please send me a message on myspace or through our forum. thanks and hope to see you at both events.

thanks for the feed back! welll the event will now be 3 days, so cosplay should be happening through out the lenth of the event. we had poeple dressinging up the entire time and that really made it feel a lot more like a con. lol see you there.

January 30, 2009 by omniconOK Guys and Girls, We have set the times, dates, and the place for this years convention. For those who have been keeping an eye on the dates, you might have noticed them changing every now and then. The reason for the confusion is that the hotel we had last year has changed owners twice since the last time, causing us to change too. Now we have a set time and as long as the hotel is still the same by those dates we should all be good. Here is what you should know: Bigger venue! Now we will have the entire hotel rented out with plenty of room to geek out in. The vendors room is twice the size and i will be working in bringing in out of town vendors to help feed your collectible needs. Also the Video game room is separated from the rest of the venue, as not to distract from the fierce competition. The theater will return with more seating and a better light and sound set up. Guests! This year we will follow the Anime convention tradition of having a guest voice actor. This year will be having Colleen Clinkenbeard, Full metal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z, Black blood brothers, as our guest speaker! We will also be working on a guest Dj for our Saturday night RAVE! Music! We will be having some of the local Electronica artist showing off their stuff. These musicians are on the edge using software and hardware to pump out some hi-tech tracks. Be sure to check them out in out light and music party. Cosplay! The uber popular cosplay showcase will return with more contestants than last time and even a photo booth where you can take a quick pic with the winners and a few other Cosplay pros. There will be way more events and things going on, just sign up for our forum and website to see what else is going on at OMNICON 2009. www. omnicononline. com

I want to thank everyone that showed up, dressed up, and made this event great. I was pleased on many levels with the event and most importantly all I saw were smiling faces. We have made it past our fist con and there is definitely a need for this sort of convention in the valley. So we will do our best to make next year even better. that is where you come in. Please make as many suggestions to the forum or myspace as possible. We may be awesome, but we still can not read minds… yet. So submit your favorite animes, musicians, or games and will do our best to get them into next years event. Thanks for the support and we will see you next year.
