Since this is an all ages even I understand that you can't have anything too explicit. What about showing "The Third: Girl with the Blue eye". I know you will be having screenings for anime and I think that this would be a great selection. It was shown recently at A-Kon 19 in Dallas.

Yugioh card matches for a cash prize! (This would attract a lot of people from UTPA and STC)
card tournaments are being organized. if you have specific games please post them on a list thanks!
im looking forward to the Brawl tourny. a lot of my friends will be showing up for this so we'll be bringing some comp :)
thats great UPLOADED's Melee tourney had close to 100 people, so this should be good.
you should get some sort of food/snack vendors, it will be a hassle to go get food, then come back, especially if your in tournaments, etc
I'd like to know the schedules for this event. XD Particularly when is the cosplay contest gonna take place.
Omnicon will have a snack table available, with munchies and Japanese's candies. as for solid food, you will most likely have to venture out in to the wild to get that. there is an olive garden, shoney's, whataburger, and a new sushi resturant. other wise the hotel has a dinning room. If you are renting a room, you will recive free breakfast. SCORE!!!

for the Smash tournament are we going to be able to use the Gamecube control instead of the Wii-stick? the wii-stick has sloppy controls for Smash, imo
the tourney is BYOC so any countrol you bring will be accept for use. all games will be regulation and those rules will apply. buy in for each tourney is $5
do we still have to buy in if we buy the con pass?
the pass allows access to all events and games. for tournaments, buy in goes directly to the prize money. with out the buy in, their would be no cash prize. the more people that play the bigger the pot!

May I suggest a few portable tournaments?
ie. games played on PSP or DS
Such could include DBZ shin budokai and Pokemon respectively.
They'd be easy to organize as it's basically bring your own console, and they're portable, so no real need for setup. They're also popluar amongst the kids and for those who'd be intimidated by the sf4 and SSBB powerplayers.
